We stayed in a beautiful chateau with stunning gardens where we could relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. the location was perfect for exploring the Clermont, Ferrand area, and we loved taking walks through the well, kept grounds. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities such as large TVs and free Wi, Fi. the service was friendly and helpful, and we felt well taken care of during our stay. the breakfast offered a variety of delicious options to start our day.

The karaoke and casino options were limited, which was a bit disappointing for us as we enjoy those activities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at Chateau La Caniere. The room was wonderful with views over the pool area and grounds. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant. We certainly plan to re-visit and would recommend the hotel to anyone. It was a most enjoyable experience.

Staff were helpful and courteous. Our rooms were upgraded not because the original assigned rooms were unprepared but because it was thought that the upgraded rooms would 'suit us better'.

Hotel appeared understaffed, both in the main building and also the bar/restaurant where there was noone to serve us.

The perfect place to spend your new year! the property had everything needed for a luxurious and relaxing stay. the pool area was well-maintained and there were pavilions in the garden, which was ideal for drinks in the shade. the room had a beautiful view and was equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning and a large TV.

A very warm welcome. Stunning views. Beautiful room, even for a standard.

The pool wasn't heated. The breakfast was quite expensive (18 euros) for what you received.

This hotel fulfilled all my luxurious needs. From the moment I arrived, the attentive service made me feel at home. the exclusive amenities in my room were also impressive, such as the elegant and relaxing private facilities.

Though there were really little to do here, all of the peaceful activities provided were exceptional. the only minor issue I encountered was the lack of a bar, which meant I had to call reception staff to order cold drinks.

If you are driving to the Mediterrenean and want to park your car next to the Porsches and MGs of people who do the same, this is the place. Great luxury, friendly staff, nice pool. Expensive, but value for money.

The restaurant does not live up to the level of the hotel. Quality of dishes was very variable. Restaurant staff were not competent, bringing wrong dishes, not topping up wine glasses and in the end running off with an almost completely full wine bottle.

lovely restaurant, two really great meals with very good wine recommendations, and good value for money as it was not cheap but for the quality worth it. Good large bathroom, new and well equipped, with good separate shower and free-standing bath. Chateau was interesting in a way, would be a great venue for weddings or conferences.

mini bar was not stockded, there was no information at all about he hotel in rooms, i.e. timings of meals, room service, were just told to call reception for "anything you want". The main problem was that there was simply nothing much to do in the area, anythign that was interesting at all was at least 45 minute drive away. Town of Riom is hte largest close to there, and it's not interesting at all. I made a mstake on the map and thought it was a different Riom, town of the same name about 100kms away. This hotel would however be absoltuely ideal for a one night stopover on the way back from teh south of france as it's not far from the motorway.

The place itself, it is very nice. Also, the value for money. The castle is perfect in all senses: nice recepcionist, good breakfast, well furnished room, beautiful surroundings, historic building and good price.

The carpet on the top floor (dont know the others), it seems chosen by a non professional. It is not very nice. Even I am not professional I would help the people of the hotel to decorate some rooms: some furniture could have been accorded to the rest of the room (tendende superior room).

We had a terrible experience in the Restaurant as the staff were rude and the Maitre d insulting The food was inedible and they tried to charge us 48euros per person for one fried chop on a plate with cold pieces of beetroot The service was lacking and we wasted two hours trying to obtain one main course from the a La carte menu We will not return and will warn friends not to book this Hotel It is remote and offers no facilities and there is nothing to see in the area The local village is closed and only one cafe opens for the whole of Winter The sign at the entrance has fallen down and been left and this experience was most unacceptable.

The chateau itself is a spectacular building. The seperate rstaurant was superb

Poor bedroom facilities. Beetles in the bedroom! Noise from others moving about, and from an outside window shutter which banged all night in the wind. Toilet outlet and washbasin joined.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Cateau La Caniere. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities excellent. Our meal in the restaurant was hugely enjoyable too - a luxurious end to a travelling holiday in France.
